Children, Teens &
Adult Therapy
Healing has no age limit. We serve clients ages 5 and up, thoughtfully adapting our approach for every stage of life so that all feel supported.
Couples & Families
In couples and family counseling, we focus on improving communication, intimacy, resolving conflict, and establishing healthy boundaries to build stronger, more connected relationships.
Individual Therapy
We embrace a holistic approach, focusing on your entire well-being to support you in finding relief from anxiety, depression, trauma, and achieving personal growth.
Our Holistic Approach
We integrate evidence-based psychotherapy with holistic practices like yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness to support healing on every level. We also recognize that mental health is deeply connected to factors like physical health, nutrition, and financial stress. Because no two individuals are the same, we tailor our approach to align with your unique needs, preferences, and goals
We believe medication can be helpful and sometimes necessary, but it's not always the first step as many mental health symptoms can be treated in other ways. At AHA we support each client's personal choice around medication and collaborate with holistic-minded psychiatric nurse practitioners when additional support is needed. For a list of who we have partnered with see our Partnership & Resources Page.

(CBT) Cognitive
Behavioral
Therapy
Considered to be the gold standard of therapy as it is one of the most evidence-based approaches. CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. It is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and by altering dysfunctional thoughts and behaviors, we can improve emotional well-being and cope better with challenges.
(DBT) Dialectical
Behavioral
Therapy
Combines aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with principles of mindfulness and acceptance, emphasizing the balance between acceptance of one's current emotional state and the need for change.
(SFT) Solution
Focused
Therapy
Goal-oriented, short-term therapeutic approach that focuses on finding solutions to current problems rather than analyzing the past or exploring the causes of the issues. The therapy is grounded in the belief that individuals have the resources and strengths within themselves to resolve their challenges, and that the therapist's role is to help clients identify and build on these strengths.
(EMDR) Eye
Movement
Desensitization
& Reprocessing
Based on the idea that disturbing memories and experiences can be "locked" in the brain in an unprocessed form, causing ongoing emotional and psychological symptoms. The therapy helps the brain reprocess these memories, reducing their emotional charge and enabling the individual to integrate them in a healthier way.
(MI) Motivational
Interviewing
Designed to help individuals resolve ambivalence and find their own motivation for making positive changes in their behaviors. MI is particularly effective for people facing behavior change challenges, such as addiction, chronic illness management, and other areas like weight loss, smoking cessation, or improving mental health.
